Promotional Offer
Many times we see that we get an offer of buy 1 get 1 free
or buy 2 get 1 free. We will be creating the same offers where we buy a trouser
& a shirt of a selected brand & get jeans free
We have already
defined a trouser in the system, similarly now we define a shirt & a jeans
& add both of them in price list
Add both of them in price list
Now navigate to Modifiers > Modifier Setup & give
details as shown below. (Note that first 2 lines have been end dated)
Now click on define details & give details as shown
below
It means that if we buy a trouser & a shirt then we’ll
get a jeans for free. Additional Buy Product is an optional field. If you want,
you can give some value otherwise you can leave it blank.
Now book a Sales order for a trouser & a shirt
Book the order & you can see the following message
Click on Continue
Here a new line is created at no additional cost. This is
because we have given 100% discount for the get item. In case if we define only
50% discount for the get item then a new line will be added with 50% of the
actual price. It means that if a customer buys a trouser & a shirt then He
has to buy a Pepe Jeans at 50% price (weather or not He likes it). This is not
possible in real time scenario. So just to avoid it we’ll use a concept called
‘Other Item Discount’
Go to Modifier definition form & end date the third line.
Add a new line & give details as shown below
Click on Define Details & give details as shown below
Now create a Sales Order & give details as shown below
Book the order. Once the order is booked add another line
As soon as you save the order, the price of 2nd
line will be decremented by 50%
Here the customer has the freedom to buy the goods at discounted
price if they want to buy it
Item Upgrade
Item Upgrade is used when we want to give a scheme to our
customers where they buy for example 1000 Gms. of an item & get some
additional quantity of the same item (say 1250 Gms.) or we purchase an item
& instead of getting that item we get another better item
In this example, we’ll book an order for an item but that
item will be upgraded to another item
Consider the scenario where we consider that ‘VS ASL Item2’
is an upgraded item for ‘VS ASL Item1’ & if we book ‘VS ASL Item1’ for more
than 5 quantities then instead of getting that we get ‘VS ASL Item2’
First define relationship between both the items. Navigate
to Items > Item Relationships & give details as shown below
Now go to the modifier definition form & add another row
& give details as shown below
Click on Promotion Upgrades & give details as shown
below
Now create an order line & save it
Save the record
We can see that the item along with the price has changed
(or upgraded)
