Discount Coupons
Consider a scenario where a customer goes to a shopping mall
& purchases some items (say trousers) worth 2000 or more & He is given
a discount coupon worth 1000 which He can redeem in His next purchase.
First create some items in Item Master. Navigate to OM
Responsibility > Inventory > Items > Master Items & give details
as shown below
Now add this item in Price List. Navigate to Advance Pricing
Responsibility > Price Lists > Price List Setup & add line as shown
below
Next is to create a modifier. Navigate to Modifiers >
Modifier Setup à
Create a new Modifier & give details as shown below
First we’ll create a line to give discounts
Click on Discount/Charges Tab & give details as shown
below
Save the record & add another line
All other details remain the same except Value from field
Click on Coupons Tab & give details as shown below
Save the record
Once you save the record, you can not use line one all alone
for discount purpose. In order to check it select line1 & click on Line
Qualifiers
It is showing Qualifier Attribute as ‘Restricted’
Book an order for an amount of more than 2000
Book an order & navigate to Actions >
View Adjustments
We can see that a coupon has been generated. Now we can make
use of this coupon in our next purchase. In order to check that, book an order
again & give details as shown below
Now Navigate to Actions > Promotion/Pricing Attribute à
Navigate to Coupons Tab & give the coupon number
Now book the order
We can see the price of the item has reduced to 0 as we have
used a coupon of equivalent amount
Navigate to Actions > View Adjustments & you can see
the coupon details
Now go to Modifier definition form à Click on Line
Qualifiers
We can see that coupon_no_210 has been end dated
& can not be used again
