Define a
Responsibility for HR: Navigate to Sys Admin Responsibility > Security
> Responsibility > Define
Give details as shown below
Save the form & assign it to the user
Navigate to the newly created responsibility & define
locations. Navigate to Work Structures > Location
Give details as shown below
Save the record & close the form
Define Business
Groups: Business groups are used to
secure work structures & remuneration policies. We have to define more than
one Business Groups, if we have different work structures or remuneration
policies for organizations within our Business Group
Navigate to Work Structure > Organization >
Description à
Click on New
Give details as shown below
Click on Others
Select Business Group Info from LOV & give details as
shown below
Note: Once we define a Business Group, system internally
generates a security profile with the same name as that of our Business Group.
The default security profile us going to give access to all the organizations
defined under the Business Group. The Organizations which comes under the
business groups are operating units, inventory organization & HR
organizations
You can see that profile option from HR Responsibility >
Security > Profile
We can also define our own security profile to restrict
specific organizations to Business Groups
Define Responsibility
for General Ledger:
Navigate to Sys Admin Responsibility > Security >
Responsibility > Define
Give details as shown below
Now assign this
responsibility to the user
Go to the newly created responsibility & navigate to
Setup > Financials > Calendars > Types
We will be defining a quarterly calendar. Give details as
shown below
Next is to navigate to Setup > Calendars > Accounting
With this the accounting calendar is prepared
